Wireless sports headphones launched by Sony in India

Sony on Monday launched its new wireless sports headphones WI-SP510 in India, at a reasonable price of Rs 4,990. It attracts sports enthusiasts all the more since it features a water resistance rating of IPX5, which is capable of handling splashes and sweat during intense workout sessions without causing any form of disruptions.

According to Sony, the new headphones are “splash-proof, sweat-proof and washable.” They are also dedicated to delivering extra bass for sports enthusiasts, while, the neckband of the headphones aims to offer quick charge and arc support.

The headphones contain a battery life of 15 hours on a full charge. If it is charged for a short interval of 10 minutes, it will be providing up to one hour of playback. The headphone is also said to contain a 12 mm driver unit.

Available across Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive) and other retail and e-commerce platforms, these headphones contain Arc Supporters, with each earbud containing a built-in magnet “to ensure tangle-free carrying and storage.” The WI-SP510 also sports a built-in microphone for hands-free calling with HD voice. In a statement, Sony said, "For a job that requires you to take a lot of calls, you should consider a dedicated wireless headphone - WI-SP510 - for 15-hour-long battery life for all-day calls and thanks to very lightweight, wearing it is also stress-free.”

The device, coming in black and blue colors, also features the popular Google Assistant for voice access to listen to music, get information, set reminders, and more and other purposes.

The headphones are also available for sale at the portal www.ShopatSC.com and other major electronic stores.
