Earlier on Tuesday, the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee accused the center of using significant central agencies to bulldoze the federal structure of the country. She also sought to know the status of the money of Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) fund.
Mamata Banerjee furthermore affirmed that her government would not be working according to the whims and fancies and sayings of the BJP-led national government. Mamata Banerjee, at a press conference, said, "Where has all the money of the PM Cares Fund gone? Does anyone know about the future of these funds? Where are the lakhs of crores of money gone? Why was no audit done? The Centre is lecturing us. What have they given us to combat the COVID-19 pandemic?"
The Trinamool Congress leader hit back at the Centre that has been constantly targeting the West Bengal Government with charges of 'worsening law and order." She claimed that, amid all these false accusations of 'worsening law and order,' the situation of law and order in the state of West Bengal is way better than any state in India.
Mamata Banerjee said, "The Centre is using agencies to bulldoze and threaten us. We are not afraid of them. They are not a political party but just a garbage of lies."
The Assembly Elections in West Bengal are due to take place in April-May next year.
While commenting on the ongoing protests carried out by the farmers, Mamata Banerjee ascertained that none of the other political parties have supported the saffron party on the passing of the Farm Bills. Still, the BJP is adamant on the rising issue of Farm Bills.
The Trinamool Congress party has often been targeted by the BJP for a number of reasons, including 'worsening law and order.'
