No decision has yet been taken regarding the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 13th season of the IPL was to be played from 29 March to 24 May. The IPL was postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet officially given any statement regarding its new schedule. Meanwhile, some media reports are claiming that the 13th season of IPL is to be played between September 26 and November 8.

BCCI will use that window for IPL if T20 World Cup is cancelled.

Media reports said that the board is thinking of organizing the IPL from September 26. Recently, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said that the IPL could be held in an empty stadium amid the threat of Covid-19 epidemic. He had also said that not conducting IPL will lead to huge losses for the BCCI. On Tuesday, Cricket Australia said that it seems impossible to organize the ICC T20 World Cup this year. According to Mumbai Mirror, 'IPL can be held between late September to early November. It can be played between 26 September to 8 November. These dates are subject to change in case of postponement or cancellation of the T20 World Cup in Australia.

If the IPL starts in September, then matches can be played in Chennai and Bengaluru. The BCCI's priority was to make matches in Mumbai, but the way in which cases of coronavirus infection have come up in Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai, has made that difficult.
