A case of exceeding inhumanity has come up in Haryana. Here a woman was kept locked in the toilet for more than a year. The woman's husband is accused of keeping his wife locked in the toilet for more than a year. This incident is from Sanauli of Panipat, Haryana. According to the report, the accused husband used to beat her and he did not even give her food.
After the incident came to light, District Protection Officer Rajni Gupta sought the help of the police. With the help of police, the woman was freed from captivity. When the woman came out of the toilet, she first asked for bread to eat. After taking the woman out, she was bathed, bangles were worn, the woman asked for lipstick. The legs of the woman were not getting straight because of being locked in the toilet for so long.
Imprisoned for about one and a half years
It is alleged that Naresh, the victim's husband, kept the woman hostage in the toilet for about a year and a half and was taken out only once a day to feed. Rajni Gupta said that they had received information regarding this, after which they reached Naresh's house.
Naresh told that the victim's father and brother died 10 years ago, since then she has been mentally ill. "I was afraid that she would go anywhere or harm anyone, so I kept her locked in the toilet," he said. At the same time, when he was asked for the treatment paper, he showed the 3 year old paper.
In this case, police station in-charge Surendra Singh has registered a case against the accused and has been arrested.
