Shah Rukh Khan’s office turned into a 15-bed ICU for critical Covid patients

Ever since the coronavirus outbreak, Bollywood celebrities have helped a lot apart from the government to the needy. Stars have helped people in many ways besides giving money directly.

Among them, Shahrukh Khan had given his office to BMC about 3 months ago. A Quarantine Center had been set up for patients without symptoms. Now his office has been converted into ICU for critical patients. Shahrukh gave the 4-story building of his office to BMC in April.

Shah Rukh has been helping many states. Shah Rukh Khan has come forward to help many state governments as soon as the Coronavirus epidemic started to spread. He gave his 4-storey office in Khar to BMC to build a Quarantine Center. It has now been converted into a 15-bed ICU on Saturday. This work has been done jointly by Shahrukh's Mir Foundation and Hinduja Hospital. Shah Rukh gave his office building in April but BMC did not take it till May as there was a shortage of doctors.

The quarantined patients have been shifted to another center. Doctor of Hinduja Hospital Avinash Soupe said that at present, more ICU beds are needed in the epidemic which also includes oxygen tanks and ventilators. "After this, in this quarantine center, we provided beds, ventilators and oxygen storage tanks for critical patients. This step taken by Shahrukh Khan is truly worthwhile," he said.

54 people cured

According to the report, when his office had a quarantine centre, 66 people were admitted. 54 of these people have recovered and discharged. At the same time, 12 people were shifted to another place because the place was needed for ICU.

Earlier Shahrukh Khan had donated 25,000 PPE kits. Shahrukh Khan had earlier announced financial assistance to government funds and organizations. After this help from Shah Rukh, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had also thanked the actor.
