Apple finally unveiled new iPhone 12 series smartphones. iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max were launched recently at the Apple event 'Hi, Speed'. But the company has been trolled severely by Samsung for it's latest move to stop providing chargers and earpods with its smartphones.
Along with trolls and memes, smartphone companies on social media have also made fun of Apple. First it was Xiaomi, now the South Korean Samsung has also made fun of Apple.
Samsung, one of the world's largest smartphone companies, targeted Apple through its social media channels. On not giving power adapters with retail boxes, Samsung said through its social media accounts that power adapters will continue to be available with Samsung Galaxy series smartphones.
A Facebook post from Samsung read, "Your #Galaxy does give you what you are looking for. From the most basic as a charger, to the best camera, battery, performance, memory and even 120Hz screen on a smartphone".
It is interesting to note that apart from the iPhone 12 models, Apple has also decided not to ship the power adapter with the older iPhone models. This means that if you buy iPhone 11 series phones then you have to buy the charger separately.
Apple is also facing criticism due to this decision. But the company claims that this step has been taken keeping environmental interest in mind. So that every year e-waste can be reduced. Apart from this, the retail box is also as the charger is not included inside.
Apple iPhones ship with USB-C to Lightning cable, which is not compatible with USB-A power adapter. Apple has shipped the same cable since 2007 with all iPhones. So most iPhone users hardly have a USB-C power adapter. This simply means that customers will have to pay extra money for the charger. Users say that if the company is really concerned about the environment, then the company would have provided a USB Type-C port in the iPhone.
