PM, Prez, Other leaders greet nation on Diwali

Happy Diwali

Today, the Diwali festival is being celebrated with great pomp in the whole country. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, people are being appealed to celebrate the festival of Diwali with their families inside their homes. On Saturday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ramnath Kovind wished the countrymen a very 'Happy Diwali'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the countrymen on this special occasion of Diwali. He wrote, "Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this festival further brightness and happiness. May everyone be prosperous and healthy.".

President Ramnath Kovind, while wishing the people of Diwali, said, "Diwali is also a festival of cleanliness, so let us honor our nature by celebrating an environment-friendly Diwali. This festival inspires us to move towards the service of humanity. Let us resolve that just as one lit lamp can light many lamps, in the same way we become a lamp of hope and prosperity, sharing happiness in the lives of the poor, destitute and needy people of the society".

The Home Minister of the country Amit Shah has also greeted the countrymen on Diwali. He wrote in the tweet, "This holy festival of Diwali brings happiness and prosperity in the lives of all the countrymen, wishing everyone good health. Best wishes for the festival".

Home Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Rajnath Singh tweeted, "Hearty greetings to all the countrymen of the holy festival of Deepawali. This festival brings happiness, joy, prosperity and good health to all of you. Have a nice and happy Diwali".
