Smart India Hackathon 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the students participating in Smart India Hackathon 2020. On this occasion, the PM told how the recently announced new education policy is going to be beneficial. This education policy, PM said, emphasizes on creating job creators instead of job seekers. That is, in a way it is an attempt to bring reform in our mindset, in our approach.

"Language has always been a sensitive subject in our country. This is a big reason that we have left the local language at its own place, it has very little chance to grow and move forward. With the changes brought in the new education policy, the languages of India will grow, they will develop further. These will not only increase the knowledge, but will also increase the unity of India," he said.

The challenges that are facing the country are not only provided solutions, but also strengthen India's aspirations regarding Data, Digitization and Hi-tech Future.

"We have always been proud that in the past centuries we have given the best scientists, best technicians, technology entrepreneurs to the world, but this is the 21st century and in the fast changing world, India needs to play its same effective role," he added.

"With this thinking, the necessary ecosystem is being rapidly prepared in the country for Innovation, for Research, for Design, for Development, and for Entrepreneurship. Whether the creation of new resources for online education or these campaigns like Smart India Hackathon, the effort is that India's education to become modern," Modi said.
