The results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2020) were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) earlier on 16th October. Shoyeb Aftab has topped the exam with a percentage score of 720 marks.
The National Testing Agency released the merit list of NEET 2020 earlier today. The merit list revealed Shoyeb Aftab as the topper with a percent score of 720 marks. The 18 year old from Rourkela has secured an All India Rank of 1 in NEET 2020.
Candidates who had appeared for the NEET 2020 examinations can check their results on official website of NTA NEET. Students can also download the DigiLocker app on their mobile phones to download their results.
Shoyeb Aftab is the first-ever student from Odisha to have secured the AIR 1st rank in NEET. He created history by securing full marks in the medical entrance exam. This has never happened before in the past.
Shoyeb Aftab opted for coaching from a Kota institute to prepare for the entrance cum eligibility exam. Shoyeb was sure about securing full marks in the exam even before the results had been declared by the NTA. After cross-checking his answers in the answer sheet published by the NTA on social media, Shoyeb Aftab ascertained that he had secured full marks in the exam.
As per the reports, Shoyeb is aiming to achieve admission in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi in an undergraduate programme.
The NEET exam was conducted on 14th September and another special exam was conducted on 13th October. Almost 14 lakh students appeared for the exams during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam was formerly known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT). It is an exam designed for the students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses or dental courses in India.
