The NCB has made yet another arrest as they hunted down another high-profile drug racket in Mumbai on Saturday. Actress Dia Mirza's ex manager, Rahila Furniturewala, was found with the possession of 200kgs of Marijuana.
However, it is reported that the NCB has arrested Karan Sajnani, a British National and Shaista, Rahila's sister as well. According to the NCB, the contraband was packed like pre-rolled Ganja joints by Karan Sajnani and was marketed to high profile clients in Mumbai and various other states.
The NCB is of the view that Karan is a very important suspect in Sushant Singh Rajput's case. This is so as Karan was a supplier to Anuj Keswani who was arrested in the drug probe related to SSR's death case.
While further investigation is underway, an NCB statement read, "On the basis of specific information, NCB Mumbai effected a seizure of Ganja from one courier at Bandra West. In the follow-up operation, a huge stash of imported strains of Ganja was recovered from a resident of Jaswant Heights Khar west named Karan Sajnani (British National). Further on the revelation of Karan Sajnani Ganja Bud was recovered from Rahila Furniturewala who is also a suspect in the investigation of Cr. No. 16/2020 of Mumbai Zonal Unit. The sister of Rahila Furniturewala named Shaista Furniturewala was also arrested as she too was found in possession of Ganja. Total contraband seized was approximately 200 kg."
