WhatsApp adds new features: Animated stickers, QR codes and more

WhatsApp has announced a lot of new features for its mobile app and web version. For Android and iPhone, WhatsApp is going to come with many new features, including animated stickers, QR codes and better video calling functions. All these features will be launched in the coming weeks. The Facebook-owned messaging app also stated that status support for Jio Phone's WhatsApp will also be introduced soon. Apart from this, WhatsApp Web will finally get dark mode.

Recently, there was news that WhatsApp is testing animated stickers on its platform. Now the company has also confirmed this. Along with this, users will also get the new QR Codes feature on WhatsApp, through which you can add new contacts to your list in less time.

The company said in its statement, "Whenever you meet someone soon, you can scan their QR code and include them in your contact. You will no longer need to type the number."

Apart from this, to provide a better video calling experience to the users, the company has added a full screen feature during group video call, through this feature you can view the full screen of any individual member during group calling.

For Jio phone users, WhatsApp will soon be coming with its WhatsApp status feature for the KaiOS platform. That is, now live phone users will also be able to share WhatsApp status like smartphone users, which lasts for 24 hours.

WhatsApp's dark mode knocked for mobile apps in March itself, although web and desktop users are still waiting for it. Soon, for WhatsApp web and WhatsApp desktop users, the company is going to bring dark mode with other features.
