Joe Jonas to make acting debut with war movie, said to play a firefighter

The DNCE pop sensation, Joe Jonas, is reportedly said to make his first movie debut with a war themed movie, 'Devotion'. The American singer and songwriter will embody the role of a fighter pilot, Marty Goode.

The movie plot revolves around the true story of two US Navy fighter pilots, Jesse Brown and Thomas J. Hudner J. Reports state that shooting for the movie will commence next month in Georgia.

According to Deadline, "The aerial epic will chart the true story of U.S. Navy fighter pilots, Jesse Brown and Tom Hudner, two young men from different worlds. Initiated together into the VF-32 squadron, they are pushed to their limits flying a new design of fighter jet. But their friendship is tested when one of them is shot down behind enemy lines."

Joe Jonas will be casted alongside Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell, while Christina Jackson will be playing the female lead in the war thriller.

'Devotion' is based on the book by Adam Makos and will be directed by JD Dillard. Jake Crane and Jonathan A Stewart have adapted the screenplay for the same. It is reported that Molly Smith, Rachel Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill will produce the film through Black Label Media.

Joe Jonas has previously acted in Disney's 'Camp Rock', along with his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas and former girlfriend, Demi Lovato.
