Chennai Super Kings ( CSK) camp could finally breathe a relief since all the players and the support-staff tested negative in the coronavirus test, which carried out on Monday ahead of the new season the Indian Premier League IPL.

The current situation

There was a lot of tension in the CSK camp regarding the coronavirus issue. The two players who got positive for the virus earlier were Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad. The bad luck of the Chennai Super Kings did not stop here. The star player of the franchise Suresh Raina for some personal reason, departed from the UAE, which generated a lot of heat on social media for the last couple of days.

The entire CSK camp was desperately hoping that there would be no more trouble ahead of the IPL, and the news of players and staff testing negative was all they were hoping for. All the players and the support-staffs will have to undergo one more test on September 3. If all of them pass the final block, they will be allowed to be on the field from September 5. However, Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj will continue to stay in quarantine and will not be available for practice before September 12.

The possible opening match of the tournament

The yellow lads had landed in Dubai on August 21 and were expected to start their training by August 28. Amid the ongoing speculation regarding the spinner Harbhajan Singh’s availability for the Indian Premier League, a source has verified that till now, there is no update from the spinner’s side. The BCCI is yet to release the full schedule of the tournament that was delayed due to positive cases in the CSK squad. For the fans, seeing the current situation, they might get to see the opening match between the Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. Earlier, the reports said RCB was set to replace CSK in the opening match of the tournament against Mumbai Indians.
