Google launches Kormo Jobs app in India, To boost employment oppurtunity

Due to the ongoing lockdown due to Covid-19, people are forced to work for home. Meanwhile, an increase in online job search is being recorded. In such a situation, Google has announced the expansion of its job searching app Kormo Job. The Kormo Job app was introduced in India last year. But now Google has rebranded the Kormo Job app and made it available across India. According to the company's claim, the Kormo Job app will help Indians in job search.

Here's how to get a job? Kormo job is an Android app, available on the Google Play store. There are different categories of jobs based on different skills on the Kormo app. In such a situation, to search jobs for themselves, users must first download the Kormo app from the Google Play Store.

Kormo has over 20 lakh verified jobs

Google said that its platform has people associated with business as well as finding jobs. According to the company, there are more than 2 million verified jobs on the Kormo job platform. Google reported that companies like Zomato and Dunzo recruit candidates through their Kormo Job app. According to Google, such success only encouraged them to launch the Kormo app in India. According to Bickey Russell, Regional Manager and Operations Lead, Kormo Jobs, "The new normal round of Covid-19 has now seen a change in the job search behavior. In such a situation, the company has added features like remote interviewing".

Kormo app will compete with LinkedIn

Google has been working for some time to make its place in the job search space. Google added a job search feature to its search engine earlier this year. The activity cards feature has recently been launched by Google. Google's Kormo Job platform will compete in India with LinkedIn, which is currently India's largest professional job networking platform. Apart from this, Kormo Job will also compete with local job search platforms in India like Shine.com, Monster and Naukri.com.
