Twenty-five years back, the couple of Raj and Simran won the hearts of millions of people across the world. The charismatic couple of Raj (played by Shahrukh Khan) and Simran (played by Kajol) completed their iconic twenty-five years on screen.

The cinematic gem was released twenty-five years ago and stole the hearts of people globally. Celebrating this moment, users on Twitter poured their hearts out and shared their favorite moments and scenes from the movie.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge hit the cinemas in 1995 and marked Aditya Chopra's directorial debut. DDLJ  starred Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in the lead roles and their on-screen romance defined a totally different genre of love in reality.

The iconic scene of the DDLJ is the ‘palat' scene. This was Raj's way of knowing whether Simran had fallen in love with him or not and Simran of course did turn around.

It all began with Yash Raj Film's tweet, which tagged Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, to share a rehashed dialogue from the film. They tweeted, “Raj, agar Simran tujhe pyaar karti hai toh woh palat kar dekhegi (If Simran loves you, she will turn and look at you)."

Shahrukh Khan replied to the tweet by continuing his original dialogue. He replied, “Palat... Palat... Palat...”

Kajol replied to Shahrukh’s tweet by posting this:

Raj and Simran’s paths crossed in Europe where they met for the first time by chance. The ‘palat’ scene was created when it was finally time to part ways for both of them.

Earlier on Tuesday, Shahrukh Khan had dedicated his Twitter account to his character in the movie. He had changed his handle to Raj Malhotra. Whereas, Kajol had changed her handle to Simran. SHahrukh Khan reshared a video of the movie shared by Yash Raj Films. He tweeted, “25 years! Filled with gratitude towards you for loving Raj and Simran, with all your heart. This always feels special."

In the meanwhile, Kajol posted: “Raj and Simran! 2 people, 1 film, 25 years and the love doesn't stop coming in. I am truly grateful to all the people who made it what it is today... a phenomenon and a part of their own history. The fans! Big shout-out to all of you!"
