As the world continues to shower praises to the Indian team for winning a miraculous series Down Under, Anand Mahindra has announced to gift the Mahindra Thar SUV to six members of the side.
He made the announcement on twitter while complimenting the team members for their hard work and dedication.

Mahindra announced gifts for five Indian players who made their Test debuts in the series - Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, T Natarajan, Navdeep Saini, and Shubman Gill along with Shardul Thakur, who had only one Test appearance to his name before playing the crucial fourth and final Test against Australia in Brisbane where his all-round heroics earned India a thumping win.

He stated, "The reason for this gift is to exhort young people to believe in themselves & ‘Take the road less traveled.’ Bravo Mohammed, Shardul, Shubhman,Natarajan,Navdeep & Washington! I now plead with @Mahindra_Auto to get them their THARS on priority."

Moreover, this is not the first time that Anand Mahindra made such a gesture towards sportspersons. He had gifted an TUV 300 to Kidambi Srikanth after winning a Super Series Title in 2017.

Despite losing several key players to injuries throughout the Test series, our blue warriors rode on the impressive performances from youngsters like Siraj, Sundar, Gill, and Shardul to script history Down Under by breaching Australia's fortress at the Gabba and defeating them 2-1 in the Test series.

Thus, with the 2-1 win, India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy making Ajinkya Rahane only the second Asian captain after Virat Kohli to win a Test series against Australia in their own backyard.
