Former MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa has once again dug up last year’s video of Bollywood stars at Karan Johar’s party.
Former Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, perhaps encouraged with the current conversation around Bollywood’s alleged drug abuse problem. Manjinder Singh Sirsa has filed a complaint against Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan and other stars over their old party video. He alleged that "drugs were used" by those who attended the party.
Manjinder Singh also Narcotics Control Bureau (NBA) chief Rakesh Asthana in Delhi today regarding the submission of a complaint for investigation and action against Karan and others for "organising the drug party".
In a tweet, Manjinder Singh said that "That party video must be investigated into," along with a copy of his complaint. Earlier, the lawmaker had also tweeted the video in question.

"The said video sets ground for investigation against the attendees for contravention in relation to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Information Technology Act, 2000 as can be seen in video," he said in the complaint.
"A video was shot during the party, later circulated, and shared on social media and networking sites including, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. In the video the above-named persons can be witnessed consuming Narcotic Drugs/Psychotropic substances," Manjinder Singh Sirsa added.
The attached screenshot of the letters show that he wants a detailed investigation of the actors, Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Malaika Arora,Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Shahid Kapoor for consumption possession, and allowing premises to be used for commission of offenses’. Sirsa said in his letter that the actors were seen ‘consuming drugs’ at the party. The video, however, doesn’t show any participant consuminghdrugs.

Previously, Karan Johar had clarified that no one was taking drugs at his party. In an interview with Rajiv Masand he said, " “There were achieving members of the industry who were having an easy night out after a hard week of work, having a good time. I took that video with all the earnestness... would I be putting out that video if there was anything happening at all, I am not stupid."
Discussing how the reflection of a light near Vicky was misconstrued as proof, he added, “Apparently you are not allowed to scratch your nose. Apparently, you are not allowed to put your phone in your back pocket. Apparently, a shadow of light is perceived to be some kind of powder.”
The drugs conspiracy has become the talking point in Bollywood after names of actress Rhea Chakraborty and several others emerged in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. She has been arrested by the NCB.
