Today's date is doubly special as it is shared by the two Bollywood biggies, Farhan Akhtar and Farah Khan. The evergreen siblings share their birthdays despite of how differently wired they are! However, despite the differences, it is not unknown that Farhan and Farah both harness a crazy streak in themselves.
The Jack of All Trades, Farhan Akhtar has turned 47 on 9th January 2021. He was born to the lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar and actress Honey Irani in Mumbai. Akhtar was married to Adhuna Bhabani and birthed 2 daughters with her, Shakya and Akira. The couple separated after 16 years of marriage in 2016.
He is currently in a relationship with the Indian VJ Shibani Dhandekar.
Farhan's rocketing career
Growing up in the midst of the Bollywood culture, Farhan grew up to become a successful actor, director, screenwriter, playback singer and producer.
He began his career in Pankaj Parashar's Himalay Putra (1997) as an assistant director before he launched himself into direction and writing. He made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai under the banner of Excel Entertainment, which he established alongside Ritesh Sidhwani in 1999.
Further, in 2004, he launched his next project, Lakshay, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. However, to his dismay, the movie failed to make a mark in the cinematic industry. Despite that, he went ahead to direct and produce a number of blockbuster movies including, Don, Game, Don2 and Talaash.
Awards and recognition
The 47-year-old actor made his acting debut in the 2008 musical film Rock On!! for which he received the National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. It is said that Farhan is blessed with an excellent career. He is known for his roles in the blockbuster movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, psychological thriller Karthik Calling Karthik, Wazir, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Lucknow Central to name a few.
The beloved Bollywood choreographer and director, Farah Khan, has turned 56 today! She was born in Mumbai to Kamran Khan and Menaka Irani, sister of Honey Irani. Thus, being Farhan Akhtar's first cousin.

Being a self taught dancer, Farah started her own dance group when she was young. Inspired by Michael Jackson's Thriller, Khan decided to pursue dancing despite of having very little training.
Farah's awe inspiring career
Further, she went ahead to direct Shah Rukh's Main Hoon Na. With this, she became the second female director to be nominated for a Filmfare Best Director Award. Om Shaanti Om, her second film starring Deepika Padukone became the highest grossing Hindi film of all time at its time of release. In 2012 she made her acting debut in a leading role in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal.
