Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today inaugurate the New Bhaupur-New Khurja section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC). Located in UP, the EDFC is built at a cost of Rs 5,750 crores. The new 351 km-long section is going to open up opportunities for local industries and will be virtually launched by PM Modi.

The Shivraj government is bringing this ordinance to deal with 'Love Jihad' cases in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, "We cannot allow anyone in the state to convert their religion by greed, intimidation, cheating or misleading them. To prevent this, we have strengthened the 1968 law by making it more effective and strict".
