Call for Bharat bandh

The protests of farmers in some states of the country against agricultural bills can be seen to have a business effect. Many farmer organizations have called for the Bharat Bandh today. In such a situation, road and rail traffic will be affected in many states. All India Farmers Union (AIFU), Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), All India Kisan Mahasangh (AIKM), and All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) are some of the organizations that have called for a bandh.


According to the Ministry of Health the total number of coronavirus cases is currently 5,732,519. At the same time, the number of active patients is 9,66,382. On the other hand, 46,74,988 patients have also been cured / discharged. The death toll from Coronavirus now stands at 91,149. These figures are till Thursday (24 September) morning.

NCB interrogation

On the other hand, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will interrogate actress Rakul Preet Singh today in connection with the ongoing investigation into the drugs connection of Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput's death. NCB has also sent summons to Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Deepika may appear before NCB tomorrow. At the same time, the hearing will continue in the Bombay High Court in the case of the demolition by BMC in Kangana Ranaut's office in Mumbai.

IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals will face each other in the IPL today. This is the second match of the season for both teams. Both teams were victorious in their first matches. In such a situation, their effort will be to continue their victory campaign. Earlier in the match played yesterday, Kings XI Punjab registered a big win by defeating Royal Challengers by 97 runs.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya's birth anniversary

Union Minister Harsh Vardhan paid tribute to Jana Sangh leader Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, the founding member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1937. While being General Secretary of Jana Sangh for 15 years, he strengthened the roots of the party. He took forward the ideology and played an important role in reaching the people. Upadhyaya took over as the party's president in 1967. However, his death remains a mystery even today.

Terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir

A team of CRPF has been attacked by terrorists. The incident is of a mini secretariat in southern Kashmir. At present, no casualties have been reported. The area is surrounded by security forces. Search operation is in progress.

Farmers stop rail

The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti continues its 'Rail Roko' demonstration in Amritsar. The committee has decided to hold a 'rail roko' from 24 September to 26 September to protest against the agricultural bills. The Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 were passed by Parliament on Sunday. The decision comes along with the call for Bharat bandh today.
