Mulayam Singh Yadav tests positive
Samajwadi Party founder and former Defense Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has been found infected with the coronavirus after suffering from breathlessness. Report of Mulayam's wife Sadhana has also come up positive. He has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.

Coronavirus Vaccine: Epivacorona Vaccine Approved After Sputnik V
After Sputnik V, Russia has stamped 'Epivacorona', the second vaccine to fight the coronavirus. President Putin says that registration of the third vaccine will be allowed very soon.
Schools have been closed for the last 7 months nationwide. But schools are reopening in many places from today. The government had issued guidelines for opening of schools under Unlock 5.0 from today October 15. In many states, schools are yet to be allowed to open.
Theatres open from today
After the lockdown, theatres have also been allowed to gradually open after October 15. The decision also came under Unlock 5.0 along with easing of restrictions. But in the meantime some rules and precautions will also have to be taken care of. 'PM Modi', 'Love', 'Khaali Peeli', 'Corona Virus' are some of the films that will hit the screen first.
Bengal Covid update
Highest number of deaths were recorded in West Bengal on Wednesday due to Covid-19, after which the death toll rose to 5,808. Apart from this, 3,677 new cases of infection have been reported in the state, after which the total number of infected people has increased to 3,05,697. The bulletin said that 3,096 people have become infection-free since Tuesday and now 31,505 people are undergoing treatment. The recovery rate in the state is 87.79 percent.
Rain havoc In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, 25 dead
President Ram Nath Kovind said on Wednesday that the country is united with the people of Telangana in this hour of crisis. There have been heavy rains in some parts of the state. President Kovind also held talks with Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and expressed concern over loss of life and property due to continuous rains. In Hyderabad, 15 people have died after heavy rains flooded the streets in various parts of the city.
Army chief Narwane to visit Nepal next month
Army Chief General MM Narwane will visit Nepal in the first week of November. This is the first visit of a high-level person from India to Nepal after tensions between the two countries came to light after Nepal released a new political map in May. The Army Chief will get an honorary rank of Nepali army general.
